OMAHA (DTN) -- Here are the Top 5 things the DTN Newsroom is tracking for the week of June 15. Watch for coverage of these and other topics through the week on our subscription platforms as well as on www.DTNPF.com.

1. Budget bill: Federal budget talks, including proposals for future farm programs, continue to work their way through committees and draw comments from the ag sector. Our most recent update on the bill is here: https://www.dtnpf.com/…

2. RFS discussions: The Refined Fuels Standard continues to be refined as EPA and others weigh in on the what's best for the industry and consumers. For the latest on RFS decisions, see Todd Neeley's story here: https://www.dtnpf.com/…

3. Disease season starts: Wet conditions are beginning to bring disease opportunities where crops are in the proper growth stage. 4. Thursday market holiday: U.S. Markets will be closed Thursday for the Juneteenth holiday. DTN coverage of U.S. markets will end on Wednesday with our Closing Market Video and reporting, and will restart on Friday at 6:30 a.m. with Early Word analysis. We will update Canadian market happenings Thursday.

5. Economic reports to watch: Monday at 10 a.m. we'll have latest Grain Inspections data, followed at 3 p.m. by the USDA NASS weekly Crop Progress report. Tuesday reports begin at 7:30 a.m. with the U.S. Retail Sales and Import Price Index. At 8:15 a.m. we'll see Industrial Production and Capacity Utilization data, then at 9 a.m. Business Inventories and Home Builder Confidence Index data is out. Wednesday starts with 7:30 a.m. with Housing Starts, Building Permits and Initial Jobless Claims numbers. At 9:30 a.m. the EIA Weekly Petroleum status, including ethanol production and stocks, followed by 10:30 a.m. Weekly Economic Index data. At 1 p.m. comes FMOC (Fed) interest rate decision and Chairman Powell's press conference. At 2 p.m. we'll have latest Broiler Hatchery data. Thursday is Juneteenth holiday, with U.S. markets closed. Friday is a catch-up day, starting with 7:30 a.m. Grain Export Sales and the Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Survey for June. At 2 p.m. the latest USDA Cattle-On-Feed report and Slaughter Weekly numbers hit, followed by the 2:30 p.m. release of CFTC's Commitment of Trader's report.
